Key Responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer in Test II, your role will include:
- Building highly scalable test frameworks, systems, and infrastructure capable of handling thousands of tests daily.
- Ensuring automation results are reliable and trustworthy, facilitating hands-free releases.
- Delivering innovative solutions to complex test automation challenges individually.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute and deliver high-quality discovery experiences across various devices.
- Guiding peers in developing Quality Engineering roadmaps and test systems to enhance product quality.
- Working on projects to support Quality goals and aligning with overall business objectives.
Skills & Attributes
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Excellent automation skills for Front-end client applications, including Mobile, TVs, Set Top Boxes, or Living Room devices.
- A good understanding of REST APIs, request-response structures, error and status codes.
- Proficiency in SQL and DB scripting.
- Experience developing backend tools or frameworks to test Rest APIs, microservices, data migration, failover scenarios, and deployment procedures.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and Shift Left principles.
- Ability to build distributed systems for performance and scale testing.
- Experience in testing within a distributed heterogeneous microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with caches (e.g., Aerospike, DynamoDB, Elastic Search, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka).
- Familiarity with cloud providers like Amazon AWS.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in software development processes, including unit testing, OOPS, design, and code reviews.
- Proficiency in Linux commands and shell scripts.
- Good knowledge of building and publishing POCs.
